“I am delighted to provide excellent vision care here in my hometown of Mount Vernon. Vision is a gift that we often take for granted and one that cannot be replaced. My goal and passion is to help each of you maintain your best possible sight so that you can live a life that is brighter, happier, and healthier.”
Dr. Amanda Montgomery grew up here in Mount Vernon Ohio. She was homeschooled through elementary and high school. After various life and job experiences, she aspired to find a profession that would enhance and change peoples lives. After being introduced to the field of optometry and seeing the impact that good vision care makes, she decided to become an optometrist. She completed her undergraduate course work at The Ohio State University and the Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She then attended The Ohio State University College of Optometry and received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2011.
Dr. Montgomery is a member of the American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association, Knox County Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau. Her optometric special interests include: pediatric vision, contact lenses (soft and specialty), binocular vision and binocular vision therapy, and primary eye disease management. Dr. Montgomery is delighted to serve local Knox county and surrounding counties as an eye doctor and pediatric optometrist.

Tea or Coffee?
Tea and Coffee! Hot and iced. Year round. I love most kinds of tea. As for coffee, my absolute favorite is Bridge Street Coffee!
Are you spontaneous or do you need a plan?
I like plans… but life is real… So, my plans can spontaneously change.

I would move at the speed of light.

What color are your eyes?
Usually hazel.
Where is your favorite place to go in Central Ohio?
Outside! There are so many great places: Ariel Foundation Park, Kokosing Gap Trail, Heart of Ohio Trail, Mohican State Park, Hocking Hills.
